It has been a while since I had something to say on The Simple Stock Report. This was mostly due to time constraints—I was finishing my accounting degree while studying for Level 1 (now Level 2) of the CFA exam.
Now that I have more time and energy to put into writing, I felt as if I needed a change—a fresh start of sorts. The Simple Stock Report was all about stocks—from earnings reports to in-depth analysis. While I still want to cover stocks, I have a lot more to say about the world of finance, and don’t want to limit myself to just stocks.
I started “The Quality Premium” as a place to discuss high quality stocks, investment strategies, and ideas. The edge in investing isn’t who can make a better excel spreadsheet, as it is likely yours is no different than tens of thousands of others. The edge comes from thinking critically and differently about the “why” in stocks. Yeah this stock is cheap, but why? This stock has never traded at a higher earnings multiple, but why? This industry is forecasted to see growth unlike ever before, why is that?
I also want to dive more into portfolio management, thinking about building portfolios, and sharing my journey with my own portfolio, which should come as no surprise, is full of stocks I see as “high quality”.
The first post is out now on The Quality Premium, and I encourage you to subscribe to never miss my new posts. Plus, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for all the support on The Simple Stock Report, here’s to the next chapter:
